Your adventure begins as we leave Marrakech behind. We drive south, climbing into the High Atlas Mountains. The city gives way to rugged peaks and deep, green valleys.
First Stops: Culture and Scenery
First, we explore Tahnaout, a traditional Berber town. Then, we drive through the lush Ghighaya Valley and the dramatic Moulay Brahim Gorges. In Asni, we stop for stunning mountain photos. Visiting on a Saturday? We’ll explore the vibrant local market.
We arrive in Imlil, a village high in the mountains at 1,800 meters. Here, you’ll meet your guide and start your trek into Toubkal National Park.
Hiking the High Atlas
Follow your guide on trails through walnut and apple orchards. You’ll pass through ancient Berber villages carved into the mountainside. Our path leads to Aroumd village (1900m) and a refreshing waterfall.
Take a break for an authentic lunch. A local Berber family will host you in their guesthouse. Savor a homemade tagine while enjoying breathtaking views of the surrounding peaks.
Afternoon: The Return Journey
After lunch, we hike down through the beautiful Ait Mizan Valley. You’ll meet your driver in Imlil for the scenic drive back to Marrakech, arriving by early evening.
