Your Moroccan adventure begins in the vibrant port city of Tangier. Our driver will welcome you at the airport or port and transfer you to your hotel, where the afternoon is yours to relax and anticipate the journey ahead.
Our journey takes us into the scenic Rif Mountains, passing through Tetouan and traditional Jbala villages en route to the iconic blue-washed city of Chefchaouen. Once there, lose yourself in its famous medina, relax in the bustling main square, and browse the colorful local markets.
Today we travel to the imperial city of Fez. Our first stop is at the sprawling Roman ruins of Volubilis, a UNESCO World Heritage site. We then discover Meknes, another imperial capital, exploring its grand gates and historic monuments before continuing our drive to Fes for the night.
Immerse yourself in a guided tour of Fes, Morocco’s spiritual heart. We will navigate the labyrinthine streets of the ancient medina, alive with the scent of spices and the artistry of local craftspeople. The tour includes visits to the Royal Palace, the famous tanneries, and local potteries, with lunch at a traditional medina restaurant.
Our journey south begins, crossing the Middle Atlas Mountains toward the Sahara. We’ll travel through beautiful cedar forests near Azrou—home to Barbary macaques—and vast plains. After lunch in Midelt, we’ll wind our way along the magnificent Ziz Valley. Upon arrival in Merzouga, you will trade your vehicle for a camel, trekking into the golden dunes to witness a spectacular desert sunset before settling in for dinner at your overnight camp.
Today is dedicated to a deeper exploration of the Sahara. Your 4×4 expedition takes you across the stunning oases of Merzouga, through nomadic lands, and to the village of Khamlia for a performance of traditional Gnawa music. The day concludes with another magical night spent under the stars in nomad tents.
After a breathtaking desert sunrise, we return to our hotel for breakfast. We then visit the bustling market of Rissani before heading to the Todra Gorges. Here, you can walk between the towering canyon walls. Our journey continues to the beautiful Dades Valley, where we’ll spend the night in a local riad.
We travel the “Road of a Thousand Kasbahs” toward Marrakech. Our main stop is the iconic Kasbah of Aït Benhaddou, a fortified village and UNESCO World Heritage site famous as a set for many films. After lunch, we ascend the magnificent High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n’Tichka pass, arriving in Marrakech for an overnight stay in a riad.
Today is a refreshing coastal excursion to the charming city of Essaouira. This historic trading post is known for its whitewashed medina, vibrant art scene, and windswept ramparts. Explore its ancient streets and castles at your own pace before we return to Marrakech in the evening.
Day 10: Marrakech → Marrakech
Spend a full day discovering the magic of Marrakech. Your guided tour will uncover the city’s most famous sites, including the Saadian Tombs, the opulent Bahia Palace, the serene Menara Gardens, and the bustling souks surrounding the legendary Djemaa el Fna square.
Today our journey turns north. We drive to Casablanca to admire the magnificent Hassan II Mosque, one of the largest in the world, before continuing to Rabat, Morocco’s elegant capital, where we will stay for the night.
Our final day takes us from Rabat back to Tangier along the scenic Atlantic coast. We’ll make a stop in the charming seaside town of Asilah to admire its art-filled medina before completing our journey. Your driver will then transfer you to the port or airport for your departure, filled with memories of your Moroccan adventure.
